Chris, I feel for you. To bad we cant just move the functions around like we did when you flew my Visa. Anyway back to the contest. Last week I was printing out the aresti and manuever descriptions for sportsman and intermediate for some of our guys here locally and I could not believe what came out. Sportsman, 17 manuevers, and 19 for intermidiate. These guys are all pretty good pilots and I promise there is no way I could get one of them prepared enough to enter the contest. I have spoken with several people about this and we have decided to alter these two patterns for this contest.
Sportsman - will stop after Manuever 11, the 45 Degree Downline. I know its ending downwind and idealy that isn't the way to end a pattern but there is really no other choice without actually changing the pattern.
Intermidiate - will stop after Manuever 14, the Square On Corner, which is an upwind exit
If there is any Sportsman or Intermidiate pilots out there that would like to talk about this please PM me.
IMO the length of these patterns is to long. I would much rather be able to give the lower class pilots some 8's or 9's because they can actually learn each manuever and try to perfect it, rather then giving 5's and 6's to the guys that can just get through a sequence. Again just my opinoun.

BTW Chris. I am well on my way to being able to fly two 4 channel planes at the same time off the same TX. Wind was blowing today but yesterday I spent several flights learning how to fly with just my left hand. Throttle is now Elev., Rudder is Ail. LS (Left slider) is throttle and LST is rudder. Taxing was the hard part and almost immediately Barkley decided the pit area wasn't the safest place LOL. So my question is what mode do you think this will become? I bet it really catches on.
