Then take into the account the US$v NZ $ currency conversion. It really does not make economic sense to go this route.

You should try a Hobby Store in NZ. Should be plenty around.

There are plenty of R/C flyers in NZ and they all would have had to get most of their equipment locally.

Your local R/C flying club can point you in the right direction. Go talk to them. They can also answer all your questions about what accessory gear you will need and where to get it.
