First and foremost, the NSRCA is not a governing body, the AMA is. The NSRCA is a Special Interest Group that has the sole purpose of voicing the opinion of its majority.
Where would one find this definition of board responsibilities spelled out?
Hi Dave,
The NSRCA By-Laws and Consitution are located here : http://nsrca.us/index.php/bylaws If the AMA has information as to the direction for S.I.G's in general, I don't know the location.

On a personal note (and NOT speaking for the NSRCA), I think some of you have some valid points. I also believe that this could have been done better but I do think we did a good job with what we had to work with. The plan is to rewrite the By-Laws this year to bring it current as well as set time frames in the By-Laws for committees so that they may have more time gathering information as needed. As an individual, I really think it's time to start pro-actively speaking to the AMA R/C Contest Board members, specifically, your District Rep. to voice your concerns. The R/C Contest Board will ask for justification of the proposals and because there are multiple "proposals" received by the Board on weight alone, I believe they will come back and try to get all the proposals together and try to come up with a single solution that can then be voted on. Yes, I could be wrong but that's what I believe. Of course there's nothing wrong with talking about it but if we really want to voice our concerns, that's the place to do it. I hope y'all know that we really tried to do our best and we really were looking out for the community as a whole. There was no way to come up with something (or come up with nothing) that would make 100% of the community happy.
