OK, on a serious note. I think that the big uproar was caused by the "short notice" given to the NSRCA population concerning such a major change to the rules. Yes, I know that these rules cycles have been published for a long time, but the average competitor just wants to fly in contests, not get dragged into the administrative side of things.

Perhaps it would be better to prepare a method to get possible rule changes in front of the membership thru the K-Factor, mailing list, ect. for a year or a few months and give us more time to P & M and vet the proposals.

I'd still probably ignore them until right before the vote anyway, but it looks good on paper?
