Don't rant. Put your money where your mouth is. What's in your driveway, on the back of your boat, in your gun safe, in your tool box? Do you own Chevys and Mercurys, Rugers and Channel Locks? It's not your congressman, just do it.
I was in Lowes a few weeks ago looking for a new staple gun. They had two. One was an Arrow the other was a Stanley. I always look to see if there is an option. The Stanley was made in China, the Arrow in New Jersey. I think about the guys and gals in NJ making this thing, paying their taxes to my government, sending their kids to our schools, spending their money here ('course they probably root for the Jets, but that is a different rant). For me the decision was easy.
I used to only by Buck knives, now you have to be careful. Some are made here, others in China. It's not that hard folks. When you have a choice, by domestically.
I get the whole ARF thing, but if you are not happy with the quality, get ya a nice SIG kit and build it DOMESTICALLY.
