I have to say that I've covered 4 planes in the last two years with Monokote and all have come out great, no problems with it sticking or shrinking. I'm new to building but I just followed the instructions and advice here on RCU and had no issues. The most recent was completed last week with fresh Monokote from Tower Hobbies, a vintage Craft-Air Scout 15 kit covered in orange and blue Monokote.
The first one I covered in Monokote two years ago was a SIG 4*Star and after two seasons and dozens of flight days at the field, the covering still looks good as new.
Maybe I'm just a covering savant??
I have no experience with Ultracote so I can't comment on the product. If anyone wants to get rid of their stash of evil, awful Monokote, I'll be happy to give you my mailing address so you can send it to me!
PS I do drive cars and a big ol' stinky turbo diesel Cummins Dodge pickup.
