Neither one would work, the RPM's are far too low. You want something in the neighborhood of 10,000 RPM. Look for something like this the High Torque Panasonic 12V, 14.4V or 18V DC motor such as available here:

This motor has High Torque, moderate RPM and best of all a low current drain. I think you could run this motor direct drive with little problem on a 12V battery like the one I suggested or one with a higher Ah rating.
