3D Funfly
Why have a contest?
Why not just make it a meeting of like minded individuals who enjoy flyn the same way.
Like I mentioned in my first post, we had an event in Houston that encouraged low level 3D flyn and hovering.
No trophies, just 30 people from all around the U.S. showed and it was a wonderful show. We are going to have another one in Houston, sometime in March 2004.
Houston Hoverfest 2004.
We have a raffle, food, pilot prizes and spectators are always welcome.
Making a true contest, who would judge? Only logical answer would be the spectators, pure WOW factor.
If you want to give out trophies, then give out "Best of Show", "Pilots Choice" maybe "Best Trick". We may be able take some clues from the X-Games here.
We did not do it at Houston, however I understand it's going to happen at Nashville, is Pool Dipping. Take a kiddy pool out, fill it with water and touch you tail in it. Not a contest, just a challenge.
It would be great to start having 3D fun flys. There are Warbird only events, Jet only events, Heli only events, Scale only events, YNOT 3D only events.
I am a huge supporter of this idea. I put on the Houston show and would be more than happy to help anyone organize an event in their area.
