Default RE: Welcome to Club SAITO !

Does anyone know where to find a torque/HP chart or graph for Saito engines? I'm thinking it might help in finding usable props. I've noticed a big difference in the way people prop their engines. I like to keep them in the high nines to low tens static. My 1.80 is turning low nines on the ground which I think is good. I've seen from 8500 to 10500 on my .40a on the test stand, and I can't help but wonder if it would be happy with that heavy of a load. It turned the 8500 with a MA-k prop at 12x6. The thing that was interesting is that even though the spoolup was on the slow side, it would turn that prop at 7500 rpm at only 1/2 throttle or so. Only the last 1000 rpm seemed to make it work. And this was with only one hour of total run time. It would be interesting to see that power chart to see where it makes power.
I have some new props coming since I'm looking for a prop for an E-flight Beaver conversion project I've had idle on a shelf for a while. I'll let you all know what I find.
