How often do you crash?
I am still learning to hover my Blade450, had, maybe 15-16 flights, and my first crash, Hit the fence, but wooden blades, but some of the coating came off, so going to go for carbon fiber instead of wood, far less mantanice, flybar bent, took the blades off, and flybar off, did a small spoolup, and found the main shaft is also bent, so sent for the new blades.
Guess I am lucky was a light crash, canopy is fine, the fence has a some marks, where the blades dug in the fence, but was lucky they did not shatter main gears and servos ok, spools ok, apart from bent main shaft.
So how often do people crash? Guess when you get a bit more confidence, you get slack, so more prone to crashing, thought I was starting to do ok, so was going to go to the school about a 6 min walk and take the heli to practice forward and backward flying then crashed.
Been in the air far more than not the last few weekends, and progressed much better the past few weekends, and it was not completely claim wind.
Somehow got to close to the fence, or the air currents may have caused me to hit ther fence, as I usually have land if I think I am to close.
I would imagine when it becomes second nature, your concentration tends to wonder, risking crashing the most and start taking risks. I would think learning to turn, your a risk of crashing. On the sim have found a good way to turn, lean the copter over slightly, and flick the tail around.
So the odds finally caught up with me. At least replacing the parts will be a good learning experence.<br type="_moz" />
