don't worry about making anyone edgy! Lol! Healthy debate is no bad thing! It's all in the interest of the hobby.
I probably misread the thread!... As you pointed out, they only start to degrade when not in use over a period of time!

My Dad was in North Africa, Royal Army Service Corps, attached to the British Eighth Army,He was a Seargent and his job was the recovery of AVF's and the crews for repatriation regardless of nationality, He once told me the tracks on the Panzer were much better than the Allied armour.
