My 54 has the welded case, twin glow plugs and shrink wrapped ECU. does it matter?

That 100 sounds like a major upgrade/redesign of the 54, 22 pounds of thrust has got my attention, I will check it out, fuel consumption is of major concern.

I am now also concerned about repairs and parts for my 54 in the future, am I out of luck? I will use it in another bird for sure now!
