RE: getting really mad!
As dads like rc too said, anything comparable to the caldera is nearly double the price.
I have owned a traxxas slash 4x4. Both trucks are RTR, brushless and 4wd. The traxxas costs $400.
Granted, I never had an issue with the stock charger or servo with the traxxas....but driveshafts, shocks, and spurs were replaced fairly often. A set of rear shocks is nearly $20 and the shock shafts can get bent. The spur gear will strip if you dont have the slipper clutch set JUST right and the driveshafts(plastic) should have been done away with in favor of metal ones along time ago.
My point is simply that no matter how much you spent on the model itself...repairs and upgrading is part of the deal.
I dont want to sound like Im Jason, as it is indeed frustrating the problems you had. Usually the stock servos will last awhile. I cant say much for the stock chargers...they just suck. But I hope you will grab a replacement servo and install it. This hobby can be alot of fun, but does require some patience. It does get easier over time. when you get like myself, I have a room full of spare bits/electronics and such. Often, when something breaks I can find a spare or something as a patch job in my room...so I can keep the model running while spare parts are on the way.
good luck.
