There is nothing wrong with electric and when you have multiple power plants like airplanes mentioned, it's an advantage. I'm still mostly glow with a few smaller electrics but I would consider using electrics on a multi-engine airplane.
Have you considered throwing in the B-25 in your choices? I have an old picture of the B-25 my uncle flew as a gunner on sitting down on an incomplete fighter base in the Pacific. The CB snapped the photo just as it touched down and they released their parachutes out the tail gunner's position. The parachutes kept it from running off the island and into the water. The picture cost my uncle a quart of whiskey, the CB wouldn't take cash.
