Default RE: A Beginner - wanting to have a trainer plane + engine - please help

For around $300 US plus shipping you can get a really fun trainer called Apprentice 15E that has everything you need to get flying.  The only thing about this plane is it can be a handful when its windy above 15 MPH, other than that a really stable fum plane that can take some abuse and still fly.  It's an electric that I have been able to keep up for 15+ minutes on one 3300 mah battery.  Parts to repair are cheap too, and you really need to fly into into a barn and a tree to break it. [8D]<div>

</div><div>I have both electric and glow/gas, and I like both equally well, but for a starter plane, going electric means you don't have to lug around a field box to fly, just the plane, radio and a couple batteries, which for someone just starting out, is perfect. Once you get the bug and are flying on a regular basis, that's when you will find yourself building up a field box and going to glow. </div><div>
