Sorry, I don't remember what battery setup I used, as it was a while ago. But I remember it was very fast for a v-hull, in the 30 mph range. I thought Iremember the charge lasting more than just 8 minutes though! Anyway, it is not a speed demon but it is fast enough, and faster isn't always necessarily bettter. And more importantly, the boat handles well.
