Yeah, interesting enough, some people don't know that, in some cases, teh prop makes more noise than the engine exhaust does. If you put a prop that is to small or doesn't have much pitch, the RPM will go way up and the prop will make a loud ripping noise that will probably exceed that 95dB limit. It's best to keep the prop size within normal limits (recommended size in other words) and keep the engine RPM thus prop noise down.
We have a few neighbors near our club field that like to complain. The Forestry Service owns the property. When they fly their full-scale tankers in and out (forest fire times), these neighbors complain about the noise then relate the noise to our RC aircraft...

Go figure. So, we try to keep them informed that it isn't our planes, they are, for the most part, quiet. But, when large scale models show up, we remind the pilots about prop ripping noises and to keep the noise down.
