I like to know if a Robo straight strut's main tube leg's length could be extended from max available length of 9-13/16" by adding another 1-1/4" to it. If yes how can this be done and if not, then why?.

The reason why I'm considering this route, is the company who is going to make landing gears for this model dose not want to add side links and drag links to the main nose leg due to higher costs on my end. All they can do is traditional straight leg on electric retract and i'll have add side links and drag links later on myself. To do traditional type both mains with trucks and nose gear they want $1000 USD, now considering that if nose gear leg will be traditional type from them, why have them do it if this option could be done by adding extension myself, this way i can save on cost yet get landing gears done.....
