Most of the Tipo's I have seen of early 80's production looked like that. I bought one of the very first kits released by GP in '82 (GP's inception) and it looked the same. I just finished painting it last fall actually - it was a slow build...

I also have a late 80's fuse and it looks a little lighter in color but also in thickness. No side and seam reinforcements either. About 18 oz vs the 20+ of the early 80's production. I suspect the first GP kit fuses were done by Bill Keller who was making some of the fuses for Dick Hanson at the time.

I wonder how much Don's modern day fuses weigh?
