I do have a Mako and the El Mod isn't a full deal, this just drives one motor on the Ketten, no sound, no battle, it's bare bones. But it does allow for a switchable 4 volt signal, same as the IR connections on the RX-18.

The Mako translates or triggers the Tamiya code, so I'm wondering if any 4 volt source going into the Mako on the IR lead would trigger the code being sent via an emitter.

What I want to do is toggle the Tx to fire a IR emitter in the tube of a Panzerschreck as the Ketten races across the battle field...
