I saw Nick fly his spitfire at WOD last year. He had a G62 for power. He said he chose the G62 because he could hide it completely in the cowl. His spit looked great. The plane flew well as all Nick's design do and was not under powered. But with all due respect to Nick I think it needed a little more than the G62. Of course I like have some extra power and like to fly fast. I would definitely consider building his spit. I'd go with a DA85 for power.
yea , i can see where a 100" plane could use a few extra ponies. i have a 33 lbs. byron at-6 and it fly's good on a g-62. even when i pull fairly big loops.
