Default Prop question

Hey guys, I recently bought a pre-owned Goldberg 67" Edge 540 with an Eflite Power 110. It pulls the plane well and with about 90% throttle, it will hang on the prop. The problem is that is sucks down the batteries in less than 4.5 minutes when flying it with a lot of power. I had a dead stick landing because of this on my third flight. I had done the math on the flight times, but on the third flight, I pulled all the usable power out of the LiPos because I was doing some blenders with a decent about of power, flat spins, KE spins and making my first attempts to hover in real life (I did it at high altitude of course, but I was able to it fairly well!!!).

Anyway, I know every plane and every motor are different so I dont expect anyone to tell me exactly which prop to use, but Im just wondering if a prop with a large diameter and low pitch is what is used for 3D flying, or is a smaller, high pitch prop more desireable for a quick spool up?

The Power 110 has a APC 17x10e, which is what the previous owner had on it and it does pull the plane well. Im switching from the Power 110 to a DLE20 on the Edge because I love that little gasser and It is awesome in my 70" Revolver. I use a 17x6 Xoar on the Revolver's DLE20 and it has great unlimited vertical, but I know its probably a completely different ball game when going for 3D with the Egde.

Thanks guys,
Jeremy
