Im changing my NiMH's for 2's Lipos for the ignition for my gas engines running them through a regulator, can anyone tell me what mAH i should be looking at.
Cheers

Ian,
I think you are asking how much capacity you will need for an average day's flying. Suggest you use at least 1000 mah capacity pack if only for ignition. That will allow you at least 90 minutes of flying.
If you decide to use an IBEC which allows driving both the radio and ignition from a single battery, then you should use at least 1800 mah capacity and 2200 gives more margin. I use either an 1800 or a 2200, regulated down to 6.3V. The IBEC is driven from the same battery. Voltage output to the CDI is regulated further down to 5.5V by the IBEC (Tech Aero). The 1800 gives me 75 min of flying while the 2200 gives me 90 minutes+, with the LiPo reading around 7.5 volts after the session....comfortable margin
