yeah but if it was a trade, wouldn't the guy who gave him that tell him what its about? I don't know, lots of thieves and fools in the world.
dunno my brother buys stuff all the time at garage sales dirt cheap that he has no idea on and resells it on ebay.
Half the time he comes by me and goes WHAT IS IT, DOES IT WORK, AND IS IT WORTH ANYTHING.
