If you are looking at Plettenberg motors, you should be looking at the Advance 30-10. I don't have experience with Pletty yet, but I'm researching motors for my new 2M plane and have looked at oodles of data, plus witnessed several now in contests. It is the best combination of power, efficiency, and thermal management of the motors in their F3A lineup (The 30-09 draws high amps). It mounts like an in-runner - with a nose ring mount and a rear support. But there are probably other ways to do it if that doesn't work for you.
