Srt10 how do you calculate its 4 x more power? Is there a chart to match a boat Hull and weight to certain size of brushless motor?
well a few things bro..
the Leopard motor is 1.5 times bigger in dia.
and almost 2 times longer
a bigger motor with the same kv = more torque and more HP
that little 28mm motor is rated to 640watts max and that would be for a very small car, like 16th or 12th scale..
this boat of yours is more of a .21 size nitro
so you need HP and torque.... no replacement for displacement
the bigger Leopard is rated at 2000watts, but I've seen them run higher without issues
I have the 4092 2080kv in my DF33 and it flat out hauls!!
