RE: next plane
I would go with the Hobbyzone Super Cub or the Ares Gamma 370. Both are high wing trainers and will do mild aerobatics, i.e., loops and wingovers, stalls, etc. The Gamma 370 is upgradeable to an aileron wing so itcan gofrom 3 channel to 4 channel with ease, no mods needed. It also has a brushless option that bolts on if you want more power. I picked the Gamma 370 up over the weekend and it flies great; the oversize wheels make ROG takeoffs a breeze.. I have the HZ Super Cub as well; either would be an excellent step up from the Champ. Unfortunately, the stock Champ TX limits your choices severly to the micro models. In additon to the Champ, I have one other micro, the PZ UM Corsair, I don't like micros because they seem to fragile to me, but that's just me. Try a larger plane, you will be glad you did.
