With a little of homework you should be able to find that 72mhz is a lot more succeptible to metal-on-metal vibration interference than 2.4ghz is. If your concern is raised because of the possibility of the metal "shadowing" the antenna, then proper radio installation should take care of that, and it seems like A.T. provided some pointers.
