Lou, I located your build before I ever started slathering glue. I would love to talk to some people that have built and flown the float plane a lot and ask about the hugh side area this plane has when built to the plans as a floater. I'm betting it is a hand full in a cross wind with the fairings and floats mounted.
I have your build in my favorites so when I had any questions I went right to it and checked out what you did.By using the wing jig it made the wings a very easy build. The first plane had a close to perfect wing incidence and to my surprise the second plane came in dead on? I blame it on the fuse design and the wing jig. I have also added angle stock under the wing area on the fuse too so nothing can ever go out of square.
This is a fun build of a cool plane. I have one set of floats almost finished. Need to carve and hollow the float tips so they can get some lead installed if needed.
I think it would be an even better build if I was only doing one!
