Midwest Cap w/G62
A friend of mine has a Midwest Extra 80" w.s. with the G62 on it. The battery pack for the Rx and smoke system are in the tail. This combo is great. One thing I would change from his is to install the 2" prop extension on the G-62 and adjust the box to get the propper spinner clearance. That way you wouldn't need to put the batteries in the tail. He uses a 20X8-14 Zinger on it and it is awesome.
Forgot to mention about the landing and flight perf. It isn't a 3-D plane. More of a nice straight tracking knife edge pattern type of plane. Don't get me wrong. It snaps great also and flat spins, but it has a heavier wing load than most 3-D ers. Maybe with more control throw, bigger control surfaces like an XS and the c.g. seriously aft who knows. Just my observations. Still lands fairly slow though. Not as slow as my Lanier 1/4 scale Edge.
