Sounds like you got things totally out of whack, which happens sometimes. You need to start over from scratch. Gently close both needles, and then open them 1.5 to 2 turns. Then fire it up, and set the high speed mixture first. Then work on the idle. Then check the high speed once again, and you should be good to go. Make no more than 1/4 turn adjustments at a time, then when you get close, less than 1/8 turn adjustments. It will need to have the idle a touch richer than optimum for a good throttle transition.
