Here's one for you guru's. I was just given a brand new Efco 8420 weed wacker (never been run) It has no carb though and no trimmer end to it. The case states "bagnolo in piano" Italy. There is a 40 stamped on the cyl. head. Would this be a 40 cc. With no trimming it weighs a tad over 5 lbs. This includes a very large steel muffler. I believe I could trim it down to 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 lbs. as it has a lot of case to remove.

I tried to fit both a walbro and a tillotson carb on it but the hole pattern is not the same, it is larger. I was thinking of making a carb spacer to fit the motor then to fit the carb. The coil was also attached the case and not the motor so I will try to make a bracket to fit the cyl. bolts. What do you folks think and what the heck is it, Kiortz maybe???
