Too be honest it is coming up to 2yrs since I built this Jet, so trying to remember!

Ok re-read what you wrote... the carbon deflector is under the lip of the bell mouth if you look at last pic you can make out the M2 cap head bolts I used to hold the two parts together also pic#5.

I think the only bits I trimmed off the deflector was on the top of each side where they come close to the two ali right angle brackets.
