Sorry it took me so long to get back,Oldscaleguy.
But NO,the recipe only works with Monocote. The glue is different on Ultracoat.
But what you can do is cover with your basic color with Ultracoat (Ultracoat shrinks better for me).
Get it tight,the trim it with Monocoat. It will stick to Ultracoat just fine. Just squeegie out the solvent with a credit card or something,and next morning it's good.
