Well, the Primer went off without a hitch. We could have had a few more participants, but we always say that. The weather was absolutely perfect. The temp was in the mid 70's with light winds. The thermals passing through gave us more headaches than anything, especially when trying to string three loops together.
We had six participants on Saturday. All had a good time and three of us made an agreement to practice and call for each other when we are out flying together. The individual maneuvers are not hard, it is harder to string them all together in a row and make them look good. I know "nerves" played a role on Saturday even though it was just "practice".
Everybody had a good time. After it was over we did some fun flying and many were practicing the pattern. Here are a few photos of the event.
If I get the order right, Denny with his twist did a good job. Another 3D plane getting ready. Blake flying and Bob calling. A very smooth Revolver. My favorite out of the bunch.... Well it is mine after all!! Lunch! Ya have to keep up your strength to fly the pattern. Kelly made us all look bad. We just about had to threaten him with bodily harm to get him to fly. VERY smooth making the rest of us very jealous. A little Cub with a 30 4C Saito flew the novice pattern. A little trouble with the stall turn but practice would help with that.
