I think single wind is for torque and triple is for speed, whereas double is a combination of both.
I have talked to people about motors and never got the answer as which is the best. It all depends for which purpose you are using them. Most of the electric motors are from the same manufacturers but are tuned by others to make them more race oriented.
Thats as far as i know about motors but would like to know more from other fellow members what they think.
