Default RE: Hangar 9 Fokker DVII

I'm not worried. I can take a little ribbing from time to time. Just remember, what goes around, comes around. lol

You must be one of those people who believes "good enough, isn't." I, on the other hand, believe good enough most definitely is. But let your wife know, the "someday" when I paint the War Duck, may be a loooooong time coming.

Speaking of dummy engines and cowls, when I was assembling my D VII and the book said "glue the dummy onto the cowl," I said to myself: "SELF, what if the day comes that you want to remove that dummy from the cowl?" And so I used some super tiny self tapping screws to hold it on. Of course, I DID glue the exhaust manifold on, but the day comes I need to remove that engine, a few twists of a screwdriver and it is in hand.

So I took today off to prep for Johnstown (not Jamestown ha ha) and started off by taking my 2 big gassers to my local field for warm ups. My old style H9 Taylorcraft (with pilot Barbie in the left seat), and my Giant Aeromaster. They both did fly well, and I think I finally got the T'craft running good. I decided to take the T'craft and leave the GA home. I'm also bringing the Triplane and the Camel. I want to bring my Super Cub electric, but I am going to see how the van looks. Besides the planes, I need my tent, sleeping bag, cooler and etc, so for now I'm good. Except it is raining! Got most of it packed up now. A few things have to be loaded in the morning, and on the road. I'll take some film!
