Really?? Other than the cool factor what benefit does this actually offer us? From what I've ever known/seen a turbine sounds fine and then suddenly "whoooooooo" it stops - I've never seen the turbine equivalent of a glow engine where it starts going sick/splutters etc but keeps running (i.e telemetry of the parameters mentioned wouldn't indicate a pending problem/flameout?)
Would the real time parameters fed to a display stop flameouts etc? I doubt it. For them to be remotely useful you would also need a 2nd spotter to constantly monitor the data being fed back. That's 3 people to fly 1 jet. Most airliners only need 2

Or, is it just to stop you having to plug the GSU in after a flight to see these parameters from the flight??
