the 540 novatech motor/ 35amp ezrun esc is the stock combo on the Redcat EPX PRO models.

It works great on nimh or 2s lipos. Ive run a pair of 2s 5000mah lipos back to back without the esc or motor over heating.

I am however trying to run a 3s...and I also have tires that are at least 1/4 taller than the stock ones.

I thought the ezrun blinked red if it went into overheat protection mode. And I could keep my finger on the ESC when it would stop working.

Also, I could turn the unit off and turn it right back on and drive it for a couple of passes before it would turn off again.

I think the draw on the bec is what caused the servo to stop working.

I think ill wire up a battery pack to power the 2 fans and give it another try.
