One inch at the tips is 3 1/3 degrees.

For a combat model I would go no more than1 1/2 to 2 degrees.

In combat there is lots of maneuvering and I would not wish too much stability.

So 1/2 inch at the tip would be suitable.

Just my experience in stability, not in combat.
