I have been thinking about what you want to do and you DO NOT have to use the Hitec system at all. If you use the spektrum tm1000 telemetry module and the spektrum interface for your ipod , ipad, or i phone, you can simply hook which sensors you want to use and you will have what you want. The spktrum telemetry is different from the Hitec. to use the Hitec, you must use the Hitec Transmitter and tx module. not so with the spektrum. the Hitec interface for apple devices is hard wired to your TRANSMITTER module to recieve data. with the Jr / Spektrum telemetry, the data from the tm 1000 is transmitted DIRECTLY to your spektrum - apple interface device. You don't need to use any of the Hitec stuff. go to the spektrum web site and it will tell you the same thing I just did. this is what I understood when I read the info on the Spektrum website.
