I have been trying to find the posted rules for power plants, and finally found where it should be... under "THINGS" on the SPA website. (That is way too obscure, and in my opinion something as important as the rules, planes, and sequences should not be hidden under such a vague word) When I selected it, no page loaded. After another hour of searching I have given up. That got me to thinking, is there some changes in the works? I am going to be building another plane for next year and am not sure what is going to power it. Once again with my opinion... the OS engines should be included in the rules. Times change, products change, we change, the planes stay the same.
For what it's worth, I don't much like buying used engines anymore, there are too many junk engines sold over the Internet as "barely run", or "just broken in", etc.... I have a box of em I got suckered in on and wouldn't give the things away. So, I will try to not fall into that mess again and only buy new or local known and verified good engines.
I know there are plenty of engines that are legal available. I prefer to fly when I'm at the field and not "jack" with a bad running engine. It didn't take me long in this hobby to learn what worked for me, and (with exception of a well worn out example last year) OS Engines have been very reliable and plenty powerful.
Let's get the OS 65 and 95 adopted. I don't know what else in this world is available in that displacement that could hinder this request... Dubb Jett 65L maybe... IDK, but it makes since to me to have an option from the undisputed leader in RC engines available for use.
Cheers,
