Default RE: XYZ Ignition problems. Engine won't start. NEED HELP

Give or take a mm or two. Which can be fixed by opening cowl flaps a bit, I would imagine.

See attached outline drawing, wich Octopus RC has on their web-page.

But remember;

You need to have a bit of luck to get an engine that can do 5600 rpm with a 22x10 Menz,
like TickeTec did. And with no problems regarding sparks and carburator and what have you.

I got 5000 rpm with 22x10. The Sist weights 10 kg.

The QA and QC is not exactly german standards, if you understand what I mean.
Observe: I bought mine from Hobbyking.

I am not that lucky yet, but working on it.

At the moment my engine is in pieces, because I have taken off the aft part of the crank-case.

The reason for that again, is that there was a resistance when moving the propeller.

After splitting the casing, and moving the front or aft part of the casing, I could feel the resistance
in the aft crank case bearing.

So I heated up the aft casing, and took it off. And moved a bit on the bearing hanging on the axle.

Now the resistance is gone. So, it must be the aft casing clamping too hard around the bearing when its
on the bearing. The diameter difference between the bearing dia. and crank-case inner dia. is 0.1 mm.

In other words; When you heat up the aft crank case, it increases its inner dia at least 0.1 mm, and you slip it onto the bearing.
When it cools off, it will crimp and clamp around the bearing, probably a bit too much.

But I find it difficult to center the aft crank casing under my milling machine; I was planning to remove 0.05 mm of that dia.

Maybe just buy another one, and hope to get a better sample.....but havent given up yet.

Sending it back to Hobbyking would mean no more engine for a year or two, I would imagine.

All I'm saying is; Be prepared mentally, and don't get too dissapointed if you need to do some modifications/repairs/replacements
regarding ignition and or carburator. Its a beauteful little engine, and cannot find any other with these magical outer dimensions.

So if I can get 5600 rpm with a Menz Standard 22x10, I will try again;

Another thing which was strange; The hall sensor was set to 44 degrees from factory , so I adjusted it to 28 degrees.

I wonder were this 44 degrees stuff comes from....will have to experiment a bit there as well.

And; You can get an adapter, dont remember where, so you get one 10 cm bolt in the middle of the propeller.
