Default RE: strip lights

I currently use Lipos as indicated by 'Scale' and most of these ships use LED strips either internal or external. I also have used seven cell Nimh but have converted those over to Lipo. The Nimh presented rather limited flight times and required battery changes during the evening. Those ships also included incandesent point lamps in addition to some internal leds.

I do highly reccomend regardless of the type battery that you do mount it externally right above the wing and the reason is this facultates battery changes out on a dark flightline at night and you don want to get carried away with support lamps that can destroy your night vision. Also mounted like this there is no need for switchs (just something else to go wrong) and the battery is just plugged in to activate.

Oh by the way notice there is no need to plug the strips into the large difficult to insert ultra plug with the strip lites and if you like by purchasing a male ballance plug (in some of the pictures) you plug directly to the balance plug of the lipo. This is much easier in the dark with a running engine(s).
