Default RE: Where can I find some modern combat engines?

Probably the .36.  I just checked an FAI and it is 43"x12" at the root. plus the tail.  They are very light, maybe 14 oz. with motor.  They don't hit the ground as hard as the bigger ones, and usually have less damage I think. They survive pretty good in a crash, likely because of the weight, but not a midair. (I haven't really seen many of the older ones for 30 years.)  Most people are using the FAI planes with a .25 LA or Magnum for 80 (75)mph combat.  They are only $50 pretty much ready to go, and 17 to a crate, so it is an easy thing to get ready, and works well.  Other people are more knowledgeable than me and will surely chime in.
