In the original F-86 kits I think BVM had a paint number that he used on the center section. I am pretty sure it was the silver just mixed with a little black to darken it some. I am thinking maybe one of the colors in the bvm hot section kit might work. You might need a larger bottle but I might look at the hot section colors I have at the house to see if they might be the correct color.
