You're right, it's NOT a good way to start. The Burnelli is a twin for starters and has a strange layout that will be hard to build in a strong enough manner to survive your training flights.

It's wonderful that you want to build your first model from plans rather than a kit or ARF but why stack the deck so strongly against yourself. Choose a good trainer of proven performance. You'll have plenty of challenge in the building, covering and flying. Save the extra challenge of such an original design for later on your third or fourth model.
