Hello everyone.
First ever order from HK(!)

It is now the 18th day since payment and still waiting...
Depending on what shipping rate you chose has everything to do with when you get stuff from HK. 4-6 weeks is not unusual given certain rates. Also if the part is backordered it can be disastrous. You may never get them, or when you do you won't need them. Most everything I have ordered from them came within a week (5-10days) except when I chose the cheapest shipping method. That took around 3+ weeks or more.

A couple things to watch for, are out of stock items (never order anything on out of stock list from HK) and cheapest rate shipping (you will get the stuff but may take a long, long time). If you are just ordered some replacement stuff then cheapest is ok.

One other thing I do is set a minimum that I will spend with HK. That way if it turns into disaster I really don't care as my risk is very low. Usually that is around 100-200 dollars. I do not buy airframes or engines from them unless I am prepared to possibly take a hit on them.

In buying an engine I prefer to pay more for support and service. I fix all my own engines, but I just don't have the time to monkey around with botched up junk because I got an engine for half price. When I have time then it would be no big deal to play with a half priced HK engine. Buying some things from HK is like a roulette wheel or hitting a bullseye in the dark. You just throw and hope for the best.

A guy was telling me the other day that he bought a cheap junko engine (not from HK) from a supplier over here in the US. It was still a chinese mock off engine. He tried and tried to get the thing running. Finally he had it on the bench and somehow he noticed that a leak was on the crankcase. He put some fuel in the crankcase and it leaked everywhere! He was able to fix it by taking it apart and sealing everything. This is an example of what you may have to do with cheapo junk.

To each his own and I hope you get your parts soon.
