I'm not sure if the 7C has a throttle curve in Airplane mode. You are running into the issue I had with my 6EX when I first started out. There was no way to go into the radio and tell it where 25% 50% 75% 100% was on the stick via a throttle curve. I eventually upgraded my radio to a JR9303 and solved the issue.
