Getting with the local club is the best advice anyone can give you at this point. I belive I paid $375 for the Nexstar when I first started 6-7 years ago. You got a great deal! So take that money you saved to join the club/AMA and learn properly. The nexstar I got came with a CD with a simulator on it. Use it too.
